Dakis Humanized Expert and Fujitsu iPAD and TeamPad combine to optimize mobile computing performance for retailers.

 

Dakis Decision Systems Inc. (Dakis) announced today that it has successfully ported its award-winning software “The Dakis Humanized Expert” to Fujitsu’s iPAD and TeamPad mobile platforms, creating powerful Fujitsu MobileReady™ solutions for wireless retailing.

According to IDC, a global industry research firm, handheld devices retain strong momentum, even though the U.S. economy has slowed. It estimates that worldwide shipments will increase at a compound annual growth rate of 39 percent from 13.6 million in 2000 to 70.9 million by 2005, with the U.S. market representing the largest opportunity for handheld device vendors.

 

Fujitsu’s handheld devices wirelessly empower mobile workers to better serve their customers while connecting and sharing data. These lightweight, rugged devices give workers real-time access to corporate systems, in-store retail or a host of other applications.

Dakis Wins Integrated E-Business Solution of the Year in Microsoft Partner Program IMPACT Awards.

 

Dakis Decision Systems Inc. announced today that it has been selected as the winner in the Integrated E-Business Solution of the Year in the 2004 Microsoft Partner Program IMPACT Awards. The second annual IMPACT awards recognize excellence across the large and diverse community of Canadian resellers and solution providers. More than 300 entries were submitted by technology partners from across Canada.

 

The winners were announced at a gala event in Toronto on November 9th, 2004.

November 3rd, 2004 - Montreal

Dakis Launches the Humanized Expert Version 3.0.

 

Dakis launched the third version of the Dakis Humanized Expert today at there office building. Over 200 guests participated in the evening’s product launch. Demonstrations of the company’s artificially intelligent selling software were provided onsite, as well as its unique double, triple and quadruple cross-selling capabilities.

 

The Dakis Humanized Expert was presented using kiosk, PDA and Internet technology. Partners Fujitsu, HP, Compar, TouchPoint Solutions and KIS were all contributors.

 

Strategic partners spoke during the evening as well, including Mark Relph, National Manger, .Net Platform, Microsoft Canada, Harold Drupals, Channel Manager, Raymark and Shamira Jaffer, Executive Vice President, TouchPoint Solutions; each discussed why their companies have chosen to align themselves with Dakis and of the benefit to retailers. Jean-François Thibault, Senior Policy Advisor to the Minister of State, Infrastructure and Communities, discussed the way in which Dakis is positioned as a leader in the commercial technologies domain.

Jean Champagne joins Dakis Decision Systems as Chief Strategist.

 

Mr. Philippe Hugron, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Dakis Decision Systems Inc. is pleased to announce the November 15, 2004 appointment of Mr. Jean Champagne, former Senior Vice-President of Optical Networks at Nortel Networks, as Dakis’ Chief Strategist.

 

“Jean Champagne is a talented and seasoned senior executive who will help position Dakis Inc. during our next important period of expansion and growth," said Mr. Philippe Hugron, President and CEO of Dakis Inc. “In this formal consultative role, Mr. Champagne brings a vote of confidence to Dakis and his expertise will allow us to maximize targeted opportunities and, as well, add to our ability to manage the growth we anticipate in the remaining period of 2004 and beyond", adds Mr. Hugron.

Mr. Champagne brings over twenty years of experience in sales, marketing and business development functions leveraging government and media relations as well as alliances and partnerships. He joined Nortel Networks in 1985 where he held several senior leadership roles, most recently serving as Senior Vice President of Optical Networks. Prior to his tenure at Nortel, he held a variety of management positions with various corporations in the Information Technology field. In his new role as Dakis’ Chief Strategist, Mr. Champagne will be playing a key part in accelerating the company’s growth and leadership in the business sector.

 

June 22nd 2004 - Montreal

Conference: The Store of The Future-Today! by Dakis and Microsoft.

 

Dakis joined Microsoft to present "The Store of the Future - Today", one afternoon of conferences where solutions to today's retailing challenges were exposed and discussed. Jordan Sheridan, Enterprise Retail Account Executive for Microsoft Canada, Philippe Hugron, President and CEO of Dakis Decision Systems and Andre Brochu owner of BROLI La Source du Sport were the speakers. Mr. Sheridan exposed the Microsoft "Smarter Retailing Initiative". Mr. Hugron introduced the "Dakis Humanized Expert" and Mr. Brochu shared his experience on implementing the kiosk and PDA versions of the "Dakis Humanized Expert".

 

The event took place at the Time Supper Club. The conference attracted 81 members of the retail industry.

 

June 7 and 8 2004 - Toronto

The Store of The Future concept showed at RCC’s STORE 2004.

 

Dakis, an artificial intelligence firm, was presenting its store of the future concept to the Canadian retail community at the RCC annual convention STORE 2004. The newly introduced Dakis Humanized Expert, a purchasing advisor for consumers and vendors, was being demonstrated by Dakis Decision Systems Inc.

 

The Dakis Humanized Expert kiosk and PDA versions make practical buying recommendations based on consumer’s needs and profile using a unique Artificial Intelligence Explanation Generator developed by Dakis. Both applications were showed in order to give a good idea on what a standardized commercial interface is about.

 

The event took place on June 7 and June 8 at the Toronto Congress Centre, in the Microsoft and Bell Canada zone. The convention attracted over 900 retailers.

 

April 26 to 28 2004 - Las Vegas

The Dakis Humanized Expert kiosk version showed at KioskCom.com

 

Dakis, an artificial intelligence firm, was unveiling its breakthrough product to the North Americain business community at one of the largest world wide kiosk show held in Las Vegas. The newly introduced Dakis Humanized Expert kiosk version, a purchasing advisor for consumers and vendors, was being demonstrated by Dakis Decision Systems Inc.

 

The Dakis Humanized Expert kiosk version makes practical buying recommendations based on consumer’s needs and profile using a unique Artificial Intelligence Explanation Generator developed by Dakis. For the event, it was featuring on a Touchpoint kiosk.

 

The event took place April 26 to April 28 at the Mandalay Bay Resort, in the Touchpoint zone.

 

April 5 and 6 2004 - Montreal

The Store of The Future showed at CQCD’s Annual Retail Convention.

 

Dakis, an artificial intelligence firm, was presenting its store of the future concept to the Province of Quebec retail community at the 11th Annual Retail Convention. The newly introduced Dakis Humanized Expert, a purchasing advisor for consumers and vendors, was being demonstrated by Dakis Decision Systems Inc.

 

The Dakis Humanized Expert kiosk and PDA versions make practical buying recommendations based on consumer’s needs and profile using a unique Artificial Intelligence Explanation Generator developed by Dakis. Both applications were showed in order to give a good idea on what a standardized commercial interface is about.

 

The event took place on April 5 and April 6 at the Fairmont Le Reine Elizabeth. The convention attracted over 500 retailers.

 

March 1st and 2nd 2004 - Toronto

The Dakis Humanized Expert PDA version showed at WiFi Power 2004.

 

Dakis, an artificial intelligence firm, was unveiling its breakthrough product to the Toronto business community at the Canada's Premier Wi-Fi Business Solutions Show. The newly introduced Dakis Humanized Expert PDA version, a purchasing advisor helping vendors in their main functions and their continuous training, was being demonstrated by Dakis Decision Systems Inc.

 

The Dakis Humanized Expert PDA version makes practical buying recommendations based on consumer’s needs and profile using a unique Artificial Intelligence Explanation Generator developed by Dakis. For the event, it was featuring on a Symbol device.

 

The event took place on March 1st and March 2nd at the Metro Toronto Convention Center, in the Bell Canada zone. The exhibition attracted over 1200 visitors and 28 accredited media correspondents.

After weeks of working with the Dakis product line designer, the Dakis analyst team have launched the notebook model. Based on a comprehensive five steps process, the model diagnostic the consumer’s needs, and recommends the notebooks that are suitable for the use expressed. Then, the Explanation Generator explains in natural language (French or English) why a product has been high or low ranked on the recommendation page.

 

The user has then the possibility to use a comparison tool where the top three ranked notebooks are showed in a spec to spec matrix and the possibility to modify the products to be compared is also given. As well, the Explanation Generator function is available to provide explanations on how a product can be compared with the two others in regard of the needs expressed.

After weeks of working with the Dakis product line designer, the Dakis analyst team have launched the digital camera model. Based on a comprehensive five steps process, the model diagnostic the consumer’s needs, and recommends the cameras that are suitable for the use expressed. Then, the Explanation Generator explains in natural language (French or English) why a product has been high or low ranked on the recommendation page.

 

The user has then the possibility to use a comparison tool where the top three ranked cameras are showed in a spec to spec matrix and the possibility to modify the products to be compared is also given. As well, the Explanation Generator function is available to provide explanations on how a product can be compared with the two others in regard of the needs expressed.

After weeks of working with the Dakis product line designer, the Dakis analyst team have launched the bike model. Based on a comprehensive five steps process, the model diagnostic the consumer’s needs, and recommends the bikes that are suitable for the use expressed (among the 41 products available). Then, the Explanation Generator explains in natural language (French or English) why a product has been high or low ranked on the recommendation page.

 

The user has then the possibility to use a comparison tool where the top three ranked bikes are showed in a spec to spec matrix and the possibility to modify the products to be compared is also given. As well, the Explanation Generator function is available to provide explanations on how a product can be compared with the two others in regard of the needs expressed.

 

January 23 and 24 2004 - Montreal

Dakis to unveil new technology at Salon Entreprendre 2004.

 

A local artificial intelligence firm was unveiling its breakthrough product to the Montreal business community last Friday. The newly introduced Dakis Humanized Expert, a purchasing advisor for consumers and vendors, was being unveiled by Dakis Decision Systems Inc. at the Salon Entreprendre 2004.

 

The Dakis Humanized Expert makes practical buying recommendations based on consumer’s needs and profile using a unique Artificial Intelligence Explanation Generator developed by Dakis. The Dakis Humanized Expert can be used in four different applications: retail stores, commercial web sites, personal digital assistant (PDA) and call centres.

 

The event took place January 23 and 24 at the Bonaventure Place, in the Microsoft partners’ zone. A crowd composed of approximately 300 visitors and exhibitors could see this new version of the Dakis Humanized Expert.

 

November 1st 2003 - Montreal

Dakis analyst team launched the alpine ski and alpine ski boot models.

 

After several weeks of working with the Dakis product line designer, the Dakis analyst team have launched the alpine ski model and the alpine ski boot model. Based on a comprehensive five steps process, the model diagnostic the consumer’s needs, and recommends either skis or ski boots that are suitable for the use expressed (for the skis, the decision is taken among the 507 products available). Then, the Explanation Generator explains in natural language (French or English) why a selected product has been high or low ranked on the recommendation page.

 

The user has then the possibility to use a comparison tool where the top three ranked skis are showed in a spec to spec matrix and the possibility to modify the products to be compared is also given. As well, the Explanation Generator function is available to provide explanations on how a ski model can be compared with the two others in regard of the needs expressed.
