eCommerce Webstore
Launch an online store with a managed product data catalog already built for specialty photo and camera retail

What it is
dakis eCommerce Webstore is an ecommerce platform built for photo and camera retailers. It pairs with
Product Data, a maintained product database covering the full vertical, so you launch with products ready to activate rather than building a database yourself. General ecommerce platforms leave that database to you.
Built for
- Specialty camera and photo retailers selling equipment, accessories, and supplies online
- Growing retailers that need online and in-store inventory synchronized automatically
- Retailers selling camera gear and photo products from one storefront
How it fits
Your Webstore connects directly to your dakis account. Product data flows in through Product Catalog, so you can activate products, set pricing, and start selling. Inventory stays aligned with your point of sale so online and in-store stock remain consistent. When a customer completes a purchase, the transaction appears in your unified reporting.
Why customers choose it
- Launch with a catalog of camera and photo products already maintained for you
- Keep online and in-store inventory synchronized automatically, with no daily reconciliation
- Sell camera gear, prints, and photo products together in one connected storefront
- See every transaction in your unified reporting alongside in-store sales
- Add branded category pages, product bundles, and accessory packages to raise order value

Frequently asked questions
Do I have to build the product catalog myself?
No. dakis maintains a catalog of cameras, lenses, and accessories built from manufacturer data, with new products added every day. You activate the products you carry and set your own pricing.
Can dakis eCommerce Webstore keep online and in-store inventory in sync?
Yes. With dakis Unified Point-of-Sale, your store and webstore use the same inventory, so every sale in store or online comes off the same count. If you use another point-of-sale, dakis works with Lightspeed Retail (R-Series), Cameleon POS, and Photoware by Computyme, and offers API and CSV options to link other systems.
What happens to my products and customers if I move from another platform?
You can import your customer records, pricing, and inventory from CSV files. Products are matched to the dakis catalog by UPC, so most come across with their specifications and images. Onboarding Services can handle the move for you.
Can I sell prints and photo products alongside camera gear?
Yes. Photo products and equipment sell from one storefront and one checkout, using the same catalog and the same customer record.
How long does it take to launch a store?
Most stores launch within two weeks to a month of signing. The main factors are how much customization the site needs and how quickly your team supplies content and approvals.
